Rentertainment is an on-line, interactive platform for renters and landlords to post videos, photographs or links to news articles or stories of entertainment value. In making the announcement, Renter Nation’s Chief Operating Officer Steve Crawford said that “since we know renters and property owners are a fun group of people, we thought we’d give everyone the perfect opportunity to show the world what they’ve got by opening up cyberspace to them through Rentertainment.”
Mr. Crawford noted that site users can easily upload videos and photos that are funny or entertaining or just show the universe how much fun it is to be a renter or landlord. “We’re encouraging everyone to jump right in and post them to their heart’s content. Do you have some jokes to tell? Put them up there! Do you sing in a band or want to show off your karaoke skills? Go right ahead…and show us your talent! Renter Nation’s Vice President Kevin Kroger added that Renter Nation and Rentertainment celebrate renters and the renting lifestyle. “Being a renter allows us to enjoy life, free from the shackles of homeownership,” he said. He went on to note that recent studies indicate that “Gen Y” members, the so-called “millennials,” are foregoing the hassles of home ownership and embracing renting. “Renting allows for more free time to pursue and enjoy personal, life enhancing activities,” he concluded.
