Dakota Enterprises purchased its nearly 225,000 square foot property at 4840 N. Shepherd Dr. from J.B. Jones of Jones Oil in April of 2019. The four-story, elevator-serviced, 243-unit development is located on the corner of North Shepherd and Janisch Road.
The garden-style property will include a plethora of amenities for its residents. All units will include wood plank-style flooring, chef-style kitchen with stainless steel appliances and in-unit washers and dryers. Residents will also enjoy a clubhouse that houses a two-story gym, a swimming pool with a tanning deck and a grill station. The complex will also include a dog park, covered parking and valet trash service. The property will exceed all energy code requirements with LED lighting, high-efficiency water and electrical appliances and more.
This development is especially meaningful to the Dakota Enterprises team and is reflected in its name, Fishel’s Landing. Dakota is rooted in keeping the business family-oriented and tied to its strong family values and connections. Founder & CEO, Rick Guttman, chose the name of the development to honor his late father-in-law, Fishel Wolf, who always admired Jones Oil. When Wolf was in the automotive repair industry, he looked to J.B. Jones as the premier supplier, and eventually finalized a partnership with him in 1989.
