Craycroft, McElroy Hendryx has begun a new era in the firm's long history of excellence in architectural design and development. Jack Craycroft founded Craycroft-Lacy and Partners in 1957 and has worked on the development of more than 40 student housing projects. While he remains on the Board of Directors as Of-Counsel Architect to assist in project guidance and client relationships, he has recently turned over the directorship of Craycroft McElroy Hendryx to partners, Chad McElroy and Brian Hendryx.
Chad McElroy is the principal in charge of construction. He is instrumental in overseeing the process of construction documentation in a commitment to facilitate a smooth construction process. As a part of this role, he assists in establishing goals for the project including budget management and scheduling. He ensures that the firm's resources are appropriately allocated so that each project is completed on time and on budget. Chad received a bachelor of science in interior architecture from Kansas State University in 1996.
Brian Hendryx is the principal in charge of design. He is responsible for orchestrating the overall design direction and ensuring that the final project reflects the design concept. Mr. Hendryx strives to create dynamic, engaging spaces for active and passive users to enjoy. He believes that great architecture is an affordable commodity. Through careful design, common materials can be used to create uncommonly beautiful buildings. Brian received a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1997.
Craycroft McElroy Hendryx has designed and developed structures for student housing at such prestigious campuses as Concordia University, University of Houston, Texas A & M University, University of Colorado, Purdue University and University of Texas. The firm has 50 years of multi-family development experience in 16 states with over 47+ housing communities and 25,000+ beds. The firm's design philosophy focuses on interpreting and fulfilling the needs of both clients and occupants while striving to find highly imaginative design solutions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
