RMK Management Awarded Management of 1000 S. Clark in Chicago’s South Loop and 229 Park in Downtown Clarendon Hills

CHICAGO, IL - RMK Management Corp., one of the Chicago area’s largest market-rate apartment management firms, announced it has been selected to oversee property management for 1000 S. Clark, a 469-unit luxury apartment tower in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. Also joining the firm’s property management portfolio is 229 Park, a boutique, luxury rental building in downtown Clarendon Hills, Ill., with 42 luxury one- and two-bedroom residences and seven Live|Work units.

“We are excited to bring our deep commitment to customer service to the residents at both 1000 S. Clark and 229 Park,” said Anthony Rossi Sr., chairman of Chicago-based RMK Management. “While each property attracts different demographics, our decades of experience positions us well to meet the needs of the residents at each property.”

A 29-story apartment tower, 1000 S. Clark offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences with individual units ranging from 512 to 2,730 square feet. Located in Chicago’s South Loop, the community also has six three-bedroom rental townhomes measuring 3,173 square feet each. The townhome rentals include a two-car garage. All rentals at 1000 S. Clark feature luxury finishes, such as high ceilings, panoramic lake and city views, custom kitchen cabinetry and Quartz countertops, stainless steel Whirlpool appliances, custom bathroom vanities with tile bath and shower surrounds, plank flooring, elegant interior lighting, and full-size washers and dryers. Select units also feature floor-to-ceiling windows, custom Elfa® closets and balconies.

“1000 S. Clark is a great option for residents looking to truly build a community within their apartment building,” said Rossi. “RMK manages many luxury apartment buildings in Chicago – including 73 E. Lake and The Residences of Addison & Clark – so I can honestly say that residents looking for a South Loop apartment building loaded with amenities will be hard-pressed to find one that offers more indoor and outdoor amenities than 1000 S. Clark.”

The building’s 43,000 square feet of amenity space includes a 20,000-square-foot rooftop sundeck complete with outdoor television lounges, outdoor bar space with grills and dining areas, firepits, and an all-weather pool deck with tanning terrace and hot tub. Additional amenities include an enclosed indoor pool, 10,000-square-foot fitness center, basketball and racquetball courts, virtual golf simulator and putting area. The community also has a variety of lounge and coworking areas, including a penthouse roof deck; library lounge and wine bar; chef’s demonstration kitchen; game room and billiards lounge; neighborhood bar room with customizable beer taps; news room and media lounge; and board room and business center. Rounding out the comprehensive amenities are 327 parking spaces and a landscaped outdoor dog park and full-service pet care.

The popular Southwest suburb of Clarendon Hills, Ill., is home to 229 Park, a boutique, luxury rental building that includes one- and two-bedroom apartments from 712 to 1,505 square feet with rents ranging from $1,750 to $3,350. Every residence features a gourmet kitchen with custom Italian cabinetry, high-end appliances and sleek, spa-inspired bathrooms.

According to Rossi, the building’s seven Live|Work units are an attractive option for work-from-home professionals and include storefront space at ground level with living space on the second floor. Several floor plans are available with storefronts that include an office ranging in size from 173 to 183 square feet with a half-bath on the first floor and a one-bedroom living space on the upper floor.

Building amenities include a 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, Peloton bicycles and yoga space; Luxer One package delivery lockers; secured building access with video, remote entry and virtual key technology; and a private bike storage room. Heated indoor parking, along with ample outdoor spaces, are also available.

“Clarendon Hills is one of Chicago’s burgeoning suburbs that is attracting a new generation of renters by choice,” said Rossi. “With a vibrant downtown featuring abundant retail and entertainment options, Clarendon Hills’ 229 Park is an ideal home for the new generation of workers that prefer renting, as well as those who are selling their homes but want to remain in the area and enjoy a more carefree lifestyle.”

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Clarendon Hills, 229 Park is within walking distance of quaint shops, numerous restaurants and the local Metra station, which includes access to the BNSF Metra express train that can reach downtown Chicago in 26 minutes. This popular Southwest suburb offers residents plenty of green space in seven nearby parks, a neighborhood community center, and access to four Blue Ribbon public elementary schools as well as the award-winning Hinsdale Central High School. Additional shopping and fine dining abound in nearby Hinsdale and Oak Brook, Ill.
