Humphreys & Partners Architects Opens Seattle Office

DALLAS, TX - Humphreys & Partners Architects L.P. has added a leading Seattle architect as regional director to oversee its operations and business expansion throughout the Northwest and Western U.S., where the firm is experiencing a rapid uptick in its development pipeline.

Glen T. Peterson, former associate principal of Callison LLC, is the Seattle office's new lead executive.  Glen is a 33-year veteran, (24 of those in Seattle), with well-honed skills in business development, project start-up and team building.

Peterson was the lead architect on high-profile urban mixed-use, high-rise residential, hospitality and master-planned developments in the U.S. and abroad. His portfolio includes such stellar projects as Hotel Terra and Sweetwater Lodge in Teton Village, WY; CityScape and Palisene in Phoenix; Zemmouri East in Algiers, Algeria; Akard Place in Dallas; and Toscano in Seattle.

"We're giving him the reins," says Greg Faulkner, president of Dallas-based Humphreys & Partners. "Glen and our leading business development salesperson, Amy Shives, are working the West as a team and they are getting us teed up quickly."

Shives, based in Spokane, had a pipeline waiting for Peterson, allowing him to immediately begin discussions on a number of projects and add more through his deep industry ties. Active discussions are underway with developers for projects in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and Arizona, where he's as well known as he is in the Northwest U.S.

Within the next 30 days, Peterson will be hiring three technical and design professionals with expertise in residential high rise and hospitality and selecting his downtown office space. He is hoping to add three more professionals during the summer.

"We will be aggressively growing," the new regional director says, "and we will have the
immediate capability to produce a number of projects at the same time."

Humphreys & Partners also has offices in Irvine and San Ramon, CA, New Orleans, Orlando, FL, Scottsdale, AZ, in addition to the Dallas headquarters, and international offices in Montevideo, Uruguay, Dubai, UAE and Chennai, India.
