ARA Houston Adds Matt Saunders to Brokerage Roster

HOUSTON, TX - Atlanta-headquartered ARA, the largest privately held, full-service investment advisory brokerage firm in the nation focusing exclusively on the multihousing industry, announced today that Matt Saunders has joined ARA’s Houston, TX brokerage operations – under the leadership of David Oelfke, Matt Rotan, David Mitchell and David Wylie.

With more than seven years of  multi-family investment sales experience, Matt will assist clients in the disposition of non-institutional assets; typically assets that are ‘B’ and ‘C’ class as well as properties that may require repositioning, re-tenancy and redevelopment.  He will handle all aspects of the marketing process including client development, market research, valuation, and underwriting.

Prior to joining ARA, Matt was a multi-family investment sales broker for KET Enterprises, Inc., a privately held commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in the disposition of multi-family assets in the Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio areas.  Matt’s responsibilities focused on the brokerage of Class ‘B’ and ‘C’ apartment complexes, 150 units and larger for clients such as Fannie Mae, CW Capital, C-III, Ocwen, Berkadia and LNR Partners.

During his tenure with KET, Matt was individually responsible for the management and disposition of almost 35 transactions, totaling $127 million and assisted in the closing of almost 40 more totaling $226 million.
“We are thrilled that Matt joined the ARA Houston team.  Matt has the skill set and relationships to help improve our company day one.  We are well rounded and diverse in our product expertise and we have been fortunate to attract such a top performer,” commented David Oelfke, Principal, ARA Houston.

“ARA is known throughout the industry as the market leader for multi-family investment sales.  I have had to compete with ARA for years and it’s nice to join the ranks of their professional, first class organization. Joining the ARA team will allow me to leverage the national platform and provide enhanced value and services to our clients,” added Matt.

Matt received his undergraduate degree, (BS), from Texas A&M University and his graduate degree, (MBA), from the Jones School of Management at Rice University.
