Melia Homes Increases Its Focus on Multifamily and Land Acquisitions with Appointment of New President to Oversee Growth

IRVINE, CA - Melia Homes, an Orange County-based development and homebuilding company specializing in attached and detached for-sale and rental homes in Southern California, has announced the launch of a new corporate initiative focused on the acquisition of existing multifamily communities as well as land for development of rental communities in Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego counties and selective Inland Empire locations.

BJ Delzer, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Melia Homes will spearhead the new initiative.

McSunas, most recently Executive Vice President of Melia Homes, has held senior management positions with prominent homebuilders including John Laing Homes, Pardee Homes, Taylor Woodrow Homes, The Shopoff Group, and most recently, William Lyon Homes.

As President, he will oversee Melia’s day-to-day operations including land acquisition, planning and development, project management, sales and marketing, as well as human resources.

Melia Homes is seeking existing Southern California multifamily properties in the 20 to 60-unit range for acquisition. The firm is also seeking well-located land parcels that are entitled or can be entitled for multifamily development.
