The Beach Company Kicks Off New 292-Unit Mixed-Use Development in Greenville, SC

GREENVILLE, SC - Affiliates of The Beach Company, purchased 5.93 acres of land at North Main and Stone Avenue intended for a mixed-use redevelopment project. The parcels were acquired to construct a 292-unit apartment community with 20,800 square feet of complementary commercial space in the North Main neighborhood of downtown Greenville, SC.

The project, called Main + Stone, will create an urban pedestrian epicenter connecting three historic Greenville neighborhoods, the East Park Historic District, the Colonel Elias Earle Historic District and Heritage Historic District.

The property will include buildings from two to four stories, which will wrap around a four-level parking structure discreetly located at the center of the property.

Dan Doyle, Vice President of Development at The Beach Company, the Charleston-based developer said, “Main + Stone will fill a gap between several vibrant neighborhoods at the north end of downtown. By adding a first-class combination of residential and commercial properties, we hope to begin the revitalization of this prime location.”

The closing of the acreage will facilitate the immediate demolition of the vacant building at the corner of Stone Avenue and Rowley Street. Construction on the Main + Stone project is scheduled to begin within the next 45 days.
