SEATTLE, WA - The Schuster Group breaks ground on a new apartment development in Belltown, Walton Lofts. The project is a premium twelve-story modern loft apartment building consisting of 136 homes. This is Schuster's second apartment development, and third residential high-rise, in Belltown. Walton Lofts is located one block south of Joseph Arnold Lofts, The Schuster Group's acclaimed apartment building that was recently completed.
Walton Lofts is scheduled to be completed in summer 2015. "We're very excited to be working on another project in Belltown. The location is on one of the best sites in Seattle" said Mark R. Schuster, Chief Executive Officer of The Schuster Group.
The project is situated on the corner of Vine Street and Western Avenue in Belltown, along one of the city's designated "green streets," is part of the "Growing Vine Street" plan, and abuts Belltown's famous Cottage Park and p-patch. Located with easy access to Seattle's waterfront and the nearby Olympic Sculpture Park, Walton boasts breathtaking, unobstructed and protected water views from practically every floor of the building.
Similar to Joseph Arnold Lofts ("The Joe"), Walton Lofts is pursuing Green Globes® certification, seeking three globes; equivalent to LEED™ Gold. The Joe was the first residential high-rise in the state to receive this certification. Green Globes is the only ANSI (American National Standard Institute) approved green building assessment tool in the market today.
Walton Lofts is being designed by VIA Architecture in partnership with lead architect Steve Cox. Cox was also the lead architect on Mosler Lofts and Joseph Arnold Lofts. The project is being constructed by Turner Construction.
