Del Webb at Gavilán at Rancho Mission Viejo in the City of Rancho Mission Viejo, Calif., received a Gold Award for the Best 50+ Detached Home (Over 2,100 Square Feet) and a Silver Award for the Best 50+ For-Sale Community (Up to 200 Homes). Del Webb at Rancho Mission Viejo, designed by KTGY and developed by Pulte Group, is a 50-unit for-sale, single-family detached residential home community in the gated community of Gavilan in the master-planned community of Rancho Mission Viejo located in southern Orange County. Perris Station, designed by KTGY and developed by Highridge Costa Housing Partners, LLC of Gardena, Calif., is a high-quality, $28 million, age-qualified (55+), affordable mixed-use apartment community offering residents with annual incomes 30% to 60% of Riverside County's Area Median Income (AMI) immediate access to amenities the seniors want and need in Perris, Calif. Located in the heart of Perris’ Historic District on 1.28 acres, residents of the 84-unit, three-story apartment community can conveniently walk to the city's senior center, public library, the new Metrolink multi-modal transit center, a healthcare clinic and other neighborhood amenities. Tavarua Senior Apartments in Carlsbad, Calif., received a Silver Award for the Best 50+ Affordable Rental Community. Tavarua Senior Apartments, designed by KTGY and developed by META Housing Corporation of Los Angeles, is a 50-unit affordable apartment community located in the California coastal community of Carlsbad, on the site of a former assisted living facility in a walkable suburban neighborhood. Ten of the 50 units are designated for qualifying older adults with mental illness. The development is comprised of one three-level building that includes a large courtyard with a community garden, a community room, activity room, counseling room, computer and multi-media room, outdoor barbecues and tables, communal kitchen, laundry room and mail room. The residents of Tavarua Senior Apartments are less than one fourth of a mile from a major supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shop, library, park and the Carlsbad Senior Center, and near Downtown Carlsbad and the beach. Additionally, residents are located within 500 feet of a North County Transit District BREZE bus stop to minimize commutes and lessen pollution.
