SUMMERVILLE, SC - The Beach Company and MWV announced a partnership to develop The Parks, a 320-unit apartment community planned for the initial phase of Nexton.
The upscale, contemporary apartments will offer residents the opportunity to choose the space and floor plan that meet their needs, from studio apartments to three bedroom flats. Residence amenities include gourmet kitchens, 9’-12’ ceilings, a commercial-quality fitness center, a business center, courtyard saltwater pool, and automobile garages. The Parks apartments are expected to be available for occupancy late 2013.
Nexton is a 4,500 acre community developed by MWV and planned for the way people live today. Technology is embraced and life is made more efficient by locating homes, offices, shops, schools, parks, gardens and restaurants in close proximity to each other.
Nexton’s first phase will be a residential and commercial development with a vibrant core featuring best in class local restaurants and entertainment, surrounded by offices, hotels and The Parks apartments. Biking and jogging trails will connect all of Nexton. Phase one is currently under construction, with the first offices and a Marriott Courtyard hotel scheduled to open in 2014.
Strategically located just northwest of historic Charleston at the junction of I-26 and Highway 17A in Summerville, Nexton lies within the Lowcountry’s corridor of growth. Just a short distance from Charleston International Airport and Charleston Harbor, access to Nexton will be further enhanced when a second interchange on I-26 opens in 2015.
