Life Care Services Selected to Manage Senior Living Community in Boca Raton, Florida

BOCA RATON, FL - Life Care Services, An LCS Company, has been selected to manage The Sinai Residences of Boca Raton in Florida. The new not-for-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) is being developed by an affiliate of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. When completed, The Sinai Residences of Boca Raton will offer a continuum of life and health care services to residents through 236 independent living units, 48 assisted living apartments, 60 skilled nursing suites, and 24 suites for the memory impaired. It also will feature a wide range of hospitality, health care and recreational offerings. Construction is anticipated to begin in the latter half of 2013.

Situated on 22 acres of the Federation’s north campus, the upscale senior living community will complement an extensive array of adjacent services and outreach facilities—among them, schools, a community center, a fitness center and a residential community for persons with developmental disabilities. In all, the operation welcomes 5,000 persons each day to the campus, including 1,200 children.

“The goal of the Federation is to provide a wide variety of needed services,” says Wes Finch, Vice Chairperson of the Federation and Managing Member of Federation CCRC Development, LLC. “We wanted a place where an aging population could live with dignity and grace, and this community will offer that.”

“This senior residence completes the absolute perfect mix,” says Mel Lowell, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. “Anytime you can combine young and elderly people and those in between, it works well.”

Life Care Services’ reputation for serving seniors’ needs in Florida and in Palm Beach County was a plus in the selection process.

“The decision was pretty clear cut,” says Finch. “Life Care Services was far and away the best choice. They do a great job, and their people really care about what they do for the residents.”

“The Federation has a long history of serving the South Palm Beach County area,” says Jeanne Kinnard, Vice President/Director of Operations Management for Life Care Services. “We’ve had a presence in Florida for over 30 years, and we understand the complex regulatory environment. We’re honored the Federation selected us, and they can be assured that we will deliver the highest quality living experience at the residence.”

“We got to know Life Care Services very well. We know their reputation, and their operating systems are all superb,” adds Lowell. “We’re building a Cadillac, and they’re a Cadillac management service.”

Drawing on its extensive resources, Life Care Services has already begun supporting the developer, Greenbrier Development, and the Federation by reviewing plans, identifying operating budgets, and reviewing staffing projections. The company also will assume marketing responsibilities once the residence is at 95 percent occupancy.

“Life Care Services is honored to be selected as manager of this distinctive community,” says Kinnard. “We’re excided to help turn the Federation’s vision for The Sinai Residences of Boca Raton into a reality.”
