CHICAGO, IL - Jupiter Communities, LLC, a national multifamily property management company, is pleased to announce that it recently received two Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Chicago 2012 Professional Real Estate Management Information Education & Recognition (PREMIER) Awards.
Jupiter Cares, Jupiter Communities' corporate philanthropy program, received the Community Service Award. The Community Service Award recognizes an organization that has provided outstanding contributions to the community they serve and enhanced the reputation of the real estate industry. The true spirit of giving back is evidenced in not only the type of community involvement, but how often the organization donates time and effort toward ensuring successful ventures with charitable groups. Through the Jupiter Cares Program, Jupiter Communities employees nominate charitable organizations or communities that the corporate office can serve as a team. Collectively, Jupiter team members share their time, talent, and, if necessary, belongings to help others. The Jupiter Cares program has contributed to numerous philanthropies including the Special Olympics Windy City Rubber Ducky Derby, American Diabetes Association, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, and Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Kellie DeVilbiss, President of Jupiter Communities, received the distinguished Accredited Residential Manager (ARM(R)) of the Year Award. The Accredited Residential Manager(R) certification is regarded as the most recognized credential for residential real estate managers. The ARM(R) of the year award aims to recognize the individual who has demonstrated excellent management skills, enhanced their property through best practices and has been involved with IREM through mentoring and enhancing future residential managers. Ms. DeVilbiss has been involved with IREM for over a decade and has been instrumental in developing and mentoring employees and managing real estate in more than 20 states. Since assuming the role of president at Jupiter Communities in 2007, Ms. DeVilbiss has increased the company's breadth from 10 properties in 5 states with 120 employees to 47 properties in 17 states with approximately 300 employees nationwide.
