Historic Foundry Lofts Hits Leasing Milestone

WASHINGTON, DC - Forest City Enterprises, Inc., announced that Foundry Lofts located in Washington, DC is 80% leased with 140 premium residences currently leased.  The Foundry Lofts team accomplished this impressive leasing milestone in just eight months.

"We were confident that Foundry Lofts would appeal to a variety of individuals seeking luxury loft living in a true historic adaptive re-use building, especially amidst the exciting ambiance of the Capitol Riverfront area in Washington, DC. We welcome all our new residents to the Foundry Lofts community," remarked Scott Villani, Vice President of Marketing and Operations at Forest City Enterprises.

Located at The Yards, Foundry Lofts is comprised of 170 loft apartments including 34 two-level penthouse apartments. Street level retail, including Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Kruba Thai and Sushi, allows for convenient urban living in a growing neighborhood.

Boasting 12-14 feet high ceilings and exposed brick and concrete beams, the lofts retain the urban feel of the historic Navy Yard building that houses them, a unique occurrence in the District. Apartments feature hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, granite counters with a glass tile back splash and washer and dryer in every apartment. The two-level penthouse apartments feature semi-private outdoor terraces and panoramic views.

The pet-friendly community is next to The Yards Park, the waterfront, and is within walking distance of the Navy Yard Metro and Nationals Park. Among its more noteworthy amenities are a tranquil yoga terrace, private sculpture courtyard with fire pit, and resident lounge with foosball and billiards table.

Foundry Lofts is an adaptive reuse of a historic Navy Yard industrial building comprised of 170 loft apartments including 34 two-level penthouse apartments with 10,000 sq. ft. of street level retail. Foundry Lofts is located within The Yards, Southeast DC's newest mixed use development near Nationals Park.
