Citizant Awarded HUD Grants Reporting Contract

CHANTILLY, VA - Citizant, a leader in business transformation and information-sharing solutions for national security and federal law enforcement agencies, has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to create the Capture Energy Efficiency Measures for Public and Indian Housing data system. The 17-month contract for Web application development is worth $2.8 million.

The CEEMP data system will give HUD the enhanced ability to track and report on how grant funds are used for energy conservation measures within Public and Indian Housing units. Each year, HUD issues grants that total $2-$2.5 billion through the Capital Fund program and more than $700 million annually through the Indian Housing Block Grant and the Indian Community Development Block Grant programs.

“Citizant has repeatedly demonstrated to HUD that we can develop innovative solutions for information sharing, analysis and reporting in a rapid, iterative manner,” said Paul Bize, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Citizant. “We are excited to continue our 10-year partnership with HUD to deliver on these new mission capabilities. Citizant’s extensive knowledge of HUD’s IT strategies, infrastructure and software development life cycle will help leverage HUD’s existing investments.”

Citizant will leverage its experience with HUD’s Recovery Act Management and Performance System and the National Housing Locator System to develop and create the technical solutions for CEEMP. Citizant’s CEEMP solution will feature an iterative release process containing application demos and highly interactive customer stakeholder review meetings to ensure that the solutions are developed against the desired set of requirements and standards.

For this particular project, Citizant will have four new job openings with immediate start dates, including a Java developer, a senior quality assurance analyst, a business analyst and a technical writer.
