HUD Choice Neighborhoods Contract Awarded

ARLINGTON, VA - Thomas & Herbert Consulting LLC (T&H), a leading provider of management and information technology consulting services for the Government, announced today that the firm has been awarded the Choice Neighborhoods contract from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Public Housing Investments (OPHI).  Choice Neighborhoods replaces a program called HOPE VI which provided billions of dollars in grant funds to Public Housing Authorities to rebuild the Nation's most distressed housing.  Choice Neighborhoods builds on HOPE VI by taking a more holistic view towards distressed neighborhoods by providing education, commerce, law enforcement, transportation, and recreational resources.

T&H will deliver data tracking and reporting via the Firm's Innovative Grants Management System (IGM), mixed finance completion and closing, capital securitization support, and business process reengineering to streamline data collection and improve data quality.

"We are delighted to help HUD take this step forward and build fully realized neighborhoods which are part of their broader city environments," commented David Rosen, T&H's Choice Neighborhoods Project Manager.

"T&H's Executives, Managers and staff have long been committed to supporting HUD's low-income housing programs," added Deana Herbert, T&H's President and COO.  "It is consistent with our own goals and values to help those in need."
