Irvine Tweeks Units to Grab Snowbird Market
NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Preparing for a harsh winter? Irvine Company Apartment Communities (IAC), the owner and operator of some of California's most luxurious rental communities, has opened 200 furnished apartment homes in sunny Newport Beach and Irvine, Calif. for snowbirds looking to escape the cold. The suites start at a $3,000 a month and residents must stay for at least 31 days.

"Most of our furnished IAC Suite's customers are corporate executives, except during the summer months when we experience a higher volume of residents escaping the extreme heat of other regions," said Kerri Zarzana, Director of Sales for Irvine Company Apartment Communities. "Our residents often boast about enjoying a resort lifestyle, and nothing beats Orange County's desirable year-round climate. We want to share this extended residential vacation opportunity with colder-climate residents seeking a warmer alternative."

The Colony in Newport Beach and The Village at Irvine Spectrum Center are two of the communities participating in the company's new program. The Colony features semi-private poolside cabanas, valet car washes and on-site concierge services, while The Village offers four saltwater pools, four spas and a movie theater with seating for 20.

Irvine Company Apartment Communities owns and operates approximately 115 apartment communities in Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego Counties, as well as Silicon Valley, California. It is also the exclusive builder of new multi-family rental projects in its master-planned communities on the Irvine Ranch.

Founded in 1864, the Irvine Company is an internationally renowned real estate development company known for its award-winning master-planned communities, its vast portfolio of high-quality investment properties, and its leadership in conservation and natural resource management. The growing real estate portfolio encompasses office, apartment, retail and resort holdings located throughout California's premier markets, including assets in San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles Counties, and holdings in Northern California. As a steward of some of America's most beautiful and scientifically important open space and parklands, the company has donated to Orange County more than half of the historic 93,000-acre Irvine Ranch in Orange County — 50,000 acres — to permanently preserve these lands. The U.S. Department of Interior and the State of California have designated these parklands as "Natural Landmarks," one of the most prestigious land preservation designations. The privately held, diversified company traces its roots to the 1860s with the formation of The Irvine Ranch® from Mexican and Spanish land grants.
