"The addition of Charleston Place and The Greens at Columbia rounds out the housing choices Home Properties has to offer around the beltway," said Miki Wilson, Regional Vice President, Baltimore, for Home Properties. "We are excited that MONEY Magazine has recognized the dynamic lifestyle Columbia/Ellicott City has to offer our residents."
MONEY Magazine noted that Columbia/Ellicott City are "economic powerhouses" and a "magnet for families" because of their close proximity to both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, excellent schools, and a thriving economy. Major employers, including the National Security Agency and Fort Meade Army base, account for 8,000 area jobs and the government plans on moving thousands more to these top-rated cities in the coming year.
Charleston Place, located just 20 minutes from the Baltimore/Washington International Airport, is truly a city within a city, offering 858 one- and two-bedroom apartments for rent over sprawling acreage. Amenities include a pool, fitness and business centers, and access to some of the best schools in the country.
The Greens at Columbia offers residents a more intimate community of 168 apartments for rent on a beautifully landscaped 10-acre campus. The Greens offers some of the largest one- and two-bedroom apartment homes in the area and is highlighted by a centralized courtyard.
"Home Properties is fortunate to continue growing and acquiring quality properties like the ones in Howard County. We're committed to making a significant capital investment here, such as upgrades to kitchens and baths, so our apartments will be even more appealing," explained Wilson.
