Group Works To Bring LEED Approval Online
CHARLESTON, SC - GreenWizard®, Inc., the largest collection of green building product data for intelligent material selection, and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced today a collaboration to develop and implement online submission of LEED documents and templates through a seamless interface from GreenWizard's workflow solution. The LEED green building program, developed by USGBC, is the foremost program for the design & construction of green buildings.

"GreenWizard is an industry leader in the green product search-and-documentation sector with their work in automating and streamlining the search for products that may contribute to LEED certification," said Mahesh Ramanujam, Senior VP for Business Technology Transformation. "Through this alliance, and our joint efforts to synchronize data and standards, we hope to make it even easier for LEED project teams to submit project documentation."

"GreenWizard provides one-click access to the relevant background resources and project records required for LEED certification," said Adam Bernholz GreenWizard's CEO. "Now, with USGBC, we have removed barriers to seamless submission of our users' data and documentation with USGBC's LEED Online system."

As part of the alliance, GreenWizard has also agreed to follow LEED Online data and architectural standards so that information originating in GreenWizard can directly populate LEED Credit templates. LEED Online is the online tool projects use to submit documentation for LEED certification. Soon, project management teams seeking green products that will contribute toward LEED certification will be able to use GreenWizard to directly submit documents and send information seamlessly to LEED Online.

GreenWizard, which delivers its service through a "cloud-based" (software-as-a-service) platform, recently announced a series of new product offerings to make it easier to find products that may contribute to LEED certification, manage LEED jobs, and apply for LEED certification, including LEED Credit Assessment, a workflow solution that accesses GreenWizard's expansive green-product database and works in tandem with the Company's WORKflow Pro and MARKET Pro tools.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. The USGBC works toward its mission of market transformation through its LEED green building certification program, robust educational offerings, a nationwide network of chapters and affiliates, the annual Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, and advocacy in support of public policy that encourages and enables green buildings and communities.

The LEED® green building certification program is a voluntary, consensus-based national rating system for buildings designed, constructed and operated for improved environmental and human health performance. LEED addresses all building types and emphasizes state-of-the- art strategies in five areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials and resources selection, and indoor environmental quality.
