Aimco Launches Discount Program

Aimco Launches Discount Program
DENVER, CO - The nearly one half million residents living in one of the 916 apartment communities owned by Apartment Investment and Management Company (Aimco) (NYSE: AIV) can take advantage of a new Aimco Resident Discount Program which will save them money at leading national retail establishments - just in time for the holidays.

Aimco has designed the program to reward residents for choosing an Aimco community as their home, and to help residents make their dollars go farther in a tough economy. The company has made arrangements with national vendors including HP, Dell, UPS, 1-800-PetMeds, OfficeMax and 1-800-flowers.com. The discount program is accessible online to Aimco residents at: www.aimcoresidentdiscounts.com, with the use of a designated password.

"Creating a high quality living experience and providing personal service to our residents are top priorities for Aimco," said Melanie French, Aimco Senior Vice President of Operations. "We created the Resident Discount Program as a thank-you to our residents who are at the heart of what we do each day. Hopefully they can take advantage of some significant savings, especially as we head into the holiday season."

Aimco launched the program on November 1 with 12 initial vendors, and is expected to grow as agreements are executed with additional business partners through the year.
