DALLAS, TX - Bernard P. Malone, a former associate regional counsel for the Federal Housing Administration in Fort Worth, Texas, has opened The Law Offices of Bernard P. Malone LLC, a practice emphasizing commercial real estate, financial and federal mortgage programs.
Malone previously operated Malone Mortgage Co. from 1989 to 2005, when the company was sold to KeyCorp Real Estate Capital Markets Inc.
"A large number of companies today require a specialized legal experience in handling federal mortgage financing programs in the multifamily sector," he says. "It is my plan to offer the important element of legal service to real estate companies seeking to gain success in today's changing world of multifamily finance and development, a legal service rooted in more than 40 years' experience with federal mortgage programs."
Malone says today's economic climate is not unlike the one in 1989, when Malone Mortgage was launched.
"I guess you could say that I'm back at the starting line," he comments. "Today's conditions are a lot like they were in 1989. But I don't plan on launching a mortgage company. Rather, I plan to make my legal experience available to enable clients to weather these days of credit contraction, and see their feasible deals funded."
