DALLAS, TX - UDR Inc., a Denver-based REIT, turned to Dallas-Fort Worth-based Thiel and Thiel when developing Vitruvian Park, a 99-acre multifamily, commercial and retail development in the Dallas suburb of Addison, Texas. With 300,000 sf of office and retail space and 5,500 dwelling units, the $1 billion mixed-use project is Addison's first major sustainable green initiative and the largest ever undertaken by UDR. Dallas-based Andres Construction broke ground last May on this first of six phases which includes 50,000 sf of office space, 667 apartments, 32,100 sq ft of retail space at the street level. The estimated completion date is first-quarter 2010. Thiel and Thiel has also been commissioned to complete renovations for the leasing and amenity spaces at UDR's current premier property, Legacy Village in Plano, Texas.
