Trying to launch a website as BIG as MultifamilyBiz.com has it challenges. We wanted to go live last week with what we call our Beta Version. Our idea is to lift the curtain up and start sending it to our multifamily industry friends to allow them to start listing their companies, posting jobs, etc. In other words, see how people other than us react to the features, navigation and general concept. When you build a website, it is like decorating a house. Some people like wood, some like glass or metal. You tend to get stuck in your own ideas, likes and dislikes. So, we crave feedback!
We do know one thing. When we set out to do this, we made a serious commitment to a job that never ends. See, what you are looking at today is only a fraction of our ideas. We have some other BIG things that will hit the web soon and incorporate right into the site. We also want our site members to tell us what they would like to see or be able to do on the site. For example, we have been playing with the idea of allowing members to load graphics on the site (such as pictures of properties when they post in Marketplace). We delayed adding this feature in order to get user feedback and see how the site members react to the Member Center uploads, etc.
Well, more later, time to get back to work and try to get this monster of a site on the net!
