BOCA RATON, FL – Altis Boca Raton residents may have been in for a surprise on Friday morning to come downstairs to a group of 22 kids roaming the property, but, for The Altman Companies, this is just another day on the job. For the third year in a row, the apartment community and its developer hosted a special “Bring Your Child to Work Day” for their associates.
From ages 5-13, Altman kids from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties donned Altman-blue T-shirts printed with “Developer in Training,” spending their Friday off from school at the property and learning hands-on about the now finished, ultra-luxe mid-rise apartment community built by The Altman Companies.
“This morning, we started with breakfast at the office and reviewed the phases of construction from the past two years,” said Sulay Nunez, the Director of Human Resources at The Altman Companies. “Now that the community is completed, they get to see the final product and learn what happens now that management has taken over.”
This yearly event is unique because, for the most part, the kids have all been there for each of the last three years, seeing the development from start to finish.
While riding bulldozers and putting up walls were events the past two years, this year’s activities were a bit different now that Altis Boca Raton is complete, and residents are moving in. They played interactive games focusing on the property, including quizzes to see who has been paying attention best over the past three years and matching games that included the unique names of the amenities.
The 22 children were also invited to check out all the amenities and features that are part of the Altis Boca Raton lifestyle. The top choice was easily the teched-out game room, which was covered with kids testing out the game consoles.
“We get to see how they do the construction sites and the design. The first time here there was nothing, no windows, just block,” said Julian Klavans, one of the children who has been coming for 3 years now. “Now, I would rate it overall a ten because I would like to live here.”
