Sequoia Equities Receives 2019 North American Candidate Experience Awards By Talent Board

WALNUT CREEK, CA – Sequoia has been recognized for candidate experience excellence by Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the promotion and benchmark research of a quality candidate experience. Over 170 companies registered to participate and thoughts and experiences were collected from over 195,000 job candidates, with just 65 companies named recipients of this year's award.

Winners were identified through a comprehensive data analysis based on their job candidates' satisfaction survey scores. To qualify, each company committed to a statistically significant candidate response rate, where the proportion of respondents who were not hired met or exceeded a set standard. The final analysis included four key questions that had a significant impact on determining the winners:

1.      The candidates' overall ranking of their candidate experience

2.      Whether or not they would reapply to the organization in the future

3.      Whether or not they would refer other job seekers to the organization in the future

4.      And how the candidates would change their business relationship status with the organization going forward based on their experience

“We first became aware of the Talent Board in 2011,” says Enrica Suson, Vice President of Human Resources at Sequoia. “It has always been our goal to participate in their Candidate Experience survey and use the results to continue to improve our candidate experience. To be recognized as having one of the highest employer rankings of participants at this year’s awards gala is an honor.”

Nora Miller, Sequoia’s Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, adds, “As an organization, it’s important for us to ensure that all of our customers have a great experience. This not only includes our current employees but also our external customers and the candidates who apply to work at our Company. They take time out of their busy personal and professional lives to meet with us. We don’t take that lightly, and we show our appreciation through our commitment to providing an exceptional hiring experience, regardless of how far the candidate makes it through the process.”

Sequoia will be recognized on October 14, 2019, in Washington DC, at Talent Board’s 2019 North American Candidate Experience (CandE) Symposium and Awards Gala. This event will also provide the opportunity for Sequoia to collaborate with the other participants to work towards improving their overall candidate experience.
