Sunrise Management Elevates Longtime Marketing Executive Melissa Deen to Chief Strategy Officer

SAN DIEGO, CA - San Diego-based Sunrise Management – which has specialized in the management of multifamily properties since 1978 – has promoted Melissa Deen to the newly created position of chief strategy officer.

Deen, who has led the company’s marketing department for nine years – most recently as vice president of marketing – will have leadership responsibility across the enterprise for ensuring the development and execution of strategic initiatives that serve the changing needs of residents and clients.

In her new role she will support corporate innovation and identification and implementation of industry best practices for Sunrise, which has 380 employees and operates a portfolio of 14,000 multifamily units throughout the Southwest. “As we continue our expansion throughout the Southwest, Melissa will continue to play a pivotal role,” said Greenblatt. “We are thrilled to give her even more opportunity to use her considerable skills and further contribute to the ongoing success of our company.”

With a 15-year background in the multifamily and new home industries, Deen was previously the vice president of sales and marketing for San Diego-based Ami Samuel Interiors, where she was responsible for all corporate marketing and business development for a variety of new home communities.
