RMK Management Named Property Manager for Two Apartment Communities Totaling 248-Units in Bloomington and Normal Markets

CHICAGO, IL - RMK Management Corp., one of the Midwest’s largest market-rate apartment management firms, has been selected by Churchill Living as property manager for two rental communities in central Illinois effective March 1: Elm Point Apartments, a 104-unit building in Bloomington, Ill.; and Oak Point Apartments, a 144-unit property in Normal, Ill.

“Our firm has more than 40 years of experience managing apartment communities throughout the Midwest, and we are pleased to expand our Illinois portfolio with the addition of these two properties in the growing Bloomington-Normal region,” said Anthony Rossi Jr., president of Chicago-based RMK Management Corp. “We previously managed rental communities in Springfield, so we are familiar with the needs of renters in the greater area. The addition of the Rivian Automotive plant in Normal put tremendous pressure on area housing in recent years, so we look forward to providing our award-winning customer service to those in the area looking for larger apartments with up to three or four bedrooms along with great on-site amenities like outdoor pools, a tennis court and fitness centers.”

Rossi added, “Elm Point and Oak Point are located less than 10 minutes from each other, in an area bustling with activity. Residents are near a variety of shopping and dining options, as well as great public parks, numerous golf courses, and entertainment like Miller Park Zoo and Children’s Discovery Center. Situated at 304 Turnberry Drive in Bloomington, near Interstate 55 and U.S. Route 150, Elm Point offers two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments with one to two baths, measuring 900 to 1,165 square feet. Rents range from $1,190 to $3,800 per month. Residences include vinyl flooring, a full-size washer and dryer, and ample closet space. Select units include a private patio or balcony.

“Elm Point is a great place for renters looking for an established neighborhood setting with quick access to area amenities and conveniences,” said Rossi. “Surrounded by residential areas, yet a short drive from stores and dining options, the community offers residents a welcoming environment to come home to every day with on-site amenities like a fitness center and tennis court.”

Located at 1622 Trumbull Ave. in Normal, just east of Interstate 55/74, Oak Point offers residents the option for large floor plans along with plentiful green space and outdoor amenities. The property features one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments with one to two baths, measuring 696 to 1,560 square feet. Rents range from $1,050 to $2,150 per month.

“Oak Point is the perfect option for renters who need a higher bedroom count and want multiple on-site recreational amenities,” said Rossi. “With numerous parks nearby, residents have endless opportunities for outdoor fun, and when they feel like staying closer to home, the community’s on-site basketball court and outdoor pool are just steps away.”

Floor plans have open-concept kitchen and living rooms, while select units have a large peninsula island with seating. Apartments also have vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets, breakfast nooks and central air conditioning.

Oak Point amenities include a fitness center, pool, basketball court, bike storage, laundry facilities and on-site maintenance. In addition, the community is in proximity to a number of schools and colleges, as it is less than a five-minute drive to Illinois State University and just down the street from Normal Community West High School and Heartland Community College.

Both Oak Point and Elm Point are pet-friendly and located within three miles of shopping centers and parks, like the Crossroads Center and University Center; Miller Park Zoo; and Children’s Discovery Museum. Residents of both communities are also just a 20-minute drive from the Central Illinois Regional Airport and less than a 10-minute drive from the Amtrak at Bloomington-Normal train station.
