CHARLOTTE, NC - Weidner Apartment Homes acquired the 400-unit garden-style multifamily community Retreat at McAlpine Creek Apartments in Charlotte, NC. This deal marks Weidner’s first multifamily community on the East Coast and North Carolina.

Retreat at McAlpine Creek Apartments is a newly renovated community built in 1988 that holds 36 apartment buildings, 44 townhomes, one clubhouse, and one pool house on 39.6 acres. It offers 32 floor plans of craftsman-style one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes ranging between 563 to 1,234 sf, making the average unit size 992 sf. The homes were renovated with different packages to provide a custom feel and a diverse product. The community amenities are extensive, highlighted by two resort-style pools, outdoor kitchens, fire pits with lounge seating, a dog park, and a 24-hour fitness center.
