LeasingDesk Resident Screening Expands Search
By: MultifamilyBiz Staff - 6/18/2008 8:02:52 AM
IRVINE, CA - LeasingDesk, a wholly owned subsidiary of RealPage, Inc., and a provider of point of lease systems for the multifamily industry, announced the launch of metro criminal audits within its resident screening product. This new functionality enhances search logic to include any records disclosed from surrounding, out-of-state metropolitan areas.

According to the company, LeasingDesk Resident Screening employs comprehensive "follow me" logic to automatically compare multiple criminal databases against a prospective resident's addresses and name variations uncovered during the initial screen. Adding metro audits allows a multifamily property manager to extend the follow me results and retrieve instant data from metropolitan criminal jurisdictions within close proximity to known addresses including out-of-state cities.

"The addition of metro search improves the accuracy and breadth of our screening process," said David Carner, senior vice president of LeasingDesk. "Owners are now able to reduce risk at a community by ensuring all criminal records of a prospective resident are evaluated."

With this advanced search logic, LeasingDesk Screening now returns the most comprehensive criminal recommendations in the industry. Multifamily owners gain increased NOI with a fast, streamlined workflow in selecting the highest quality residents.

Utilizing RealPage criminal databases, LeasingDesk instantly screens prospective resident for criminal records in 47 states and retrieves information from 415 criminal court jurisdictions including sex offender and terrorist registries. This information is combined with credit, eviction, fraud, check writing history and the company's proprietary rental payment database into a single scored report.
