Craig Pryde Named Shareholder and Principal at KTGY Architecture + Planning in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL - KTGY Architecture + Planning today announced it has named Craig Pryde, AIA, LEED AP, a shareholder of the firm. Pryde, a principal in KTGY’s Chicago office who has been with the company since 2015, is one of 16 senior-level executives who hold the shareholder title.

“Craig has been instrumental in growing our Chicago office and his appointment as shareholder further solidifies his long-term commitment to KTGY,” said KTGY CEO Tricia Esser. “As a leader who is invested in the company both financially and philosophically, Craig possesses the skills and attributes needed to recruit and inspire the next generation of design professionals while delivering exceptional service to clients in markets across the country.”

Pryde joined KTGY through the firm’s merger with Glen Ellyn, Ill.-based PPK Architects, where he previously served as principal, specializing in residential and commercial projects in Chicago and throughout the Midwest. Pryde’s 30-plus years of architectural experience encompasses a broad range of building types including both single-family and multifamily residential developments, as well as mixed-use, retail and healthcare projects. He also has extensive experience guiding projects through the entitlement process.

In his current role, Pryde leads KTGY’s Chicago practice, creating multifamily, mixed-use, senior living and student housing projects in the Midwest region.

Under Pryde’s leadership, KTGY’s Chicago office designed The Annex, a recently completed student housing community adjacent to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus. The firm is also designing townhomes that will be included in the second phase of Titletown, a mixed-use district immediately west of Lambeau Field that is being developed by Titletown Development LLC, the real estate development arm of the Green Bay Packers. Additional projects in the Chicago pipeline include a two-building, 325-unit apartment development in Madison, Wis., a 175-unit market-rate apartment building in downtown Indianapolis and a 50,000-square-foot office building in downtown South Bend, Ind.

“In the past few years, Craig has succeeded in growing both the presence and capabilities of the Chicago office,” said Chris Texter, principal and member of the board of directors of KTGY. “His ability to lead complex projects is a testament to his experience with a variety of project types from new construction to the renovation, adaptive reuse and expansion of existing buildings, including historic structures.”

A licensed architect in eight states, Pryde is a LEED Accredited Professional. He graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Rotary Club of Glen Ellyn, and the Northwestern Memorial Foundation Board. He is also a Glen Ellyn Village Trustee.
