Developers of 18-Story Muze in Austin ‘Top Out’ Building Set to Open Next Year

AUSTIN, TX - Work on Austin’s newest student housing community, Muze, has reached an important milestone as builders complete the highest point of the structure of the building - called “topping out”- on Wednesday (Sept. 26) and continue toward the community’s planned opening in the fall of 2019.

The 18-story, 158-unit 502-bed community is located at 2100 Nueces Street, just two blocks from The University of Texas at Austin campus. As its name implies, Muze was designed with creativity in mind by helping student residents find their own muse while in college.

“We want our residents to make the most of their time in college and pursue whatever they are passionate about,” said David M. Pierce, principal of Parallel Company, the developer of the project. “The west campus area of the university is a thriving neighborhood that’s vibrant enough to spark the mind of any student. We want the Muze to reflect that.”

Muze offers studio, one-, two, three- and four-bedroom floor plans that come fully furnished. Units include a bathroom for every bedroom, quartz countertops in kitchens, stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, walk-in closets in select units, SMART housing units, hardwood-style flooring, stunning views of Austin and ceiling fans in every bedroom.

The community’s amenities were designed around its student residents and their unique needs. These amenities include Wi-Fi throughout the property, on-site garage parking, Car2Go car sharing program, study lounge with public and private study rooms, on-site athletic yoga and meditation classes, PC and Mac bar with complimentary printing, rooftop pool, outdoor rooftop theatre, outdoor rooftop gourmet kitchen, state-of-the-art fitness center with downtown views and top-floor sky lounge.

The award-winning Austin-based design team is led by architecture firm Rhode Partners, with interior and product design by Sixthriver. Rogers-O’Brien is the general contractor for the Muze, making it the second West Campus tower they have constructed with the principals of Parallel.

The community has a temporary leasing office at 2350 Guadalupe Street. Or, visit muzeatx.com to learn more.
