Hunt Investment Management Hires Evan Abrams to Lead Marketing and Investor Relations

NEW YORK, NY — Hunt Investment Management announced today that Evan Abrams has joined the firm as a Senior Vice President.  In his new role, Abrams will lead the marketing and investor relations functions for the firm and will work on continuing to attract outside capital to partner with the Hunt family across equity and debt real estate investments.  He will be based in the company’s New York office and will report to Thomas Duda, President, Hunt Investment Management.

“Evan is a seasoned investment professional with a strong background in real estate and capital raising for a diversified set of real estate focused investment managers,” noted Duda.  “He will play a critical role in leading the third party capital growth of the business. Evan will be able to leverage his understanding of what institutional investors expect today in the real estate space to help further strengthen and develop Hunt Investment Management’s platform. We think Hunt Investment Management is well positioned to provide unique and differentiated investment offerings.”

Abrams comes to Hunt Investment Management from Hodes Weill & Associates where he was a Vice President responsible for building and expanding the firm’s market presence by actively developing new institutional investor and adviser relationships across the United States.  Prior to that he was with Centaur Properties LLC, a New York City-based real estate owner/operator/developer, where he was responsible for all phases of the firm's acquisition and asset management activities across office, retail and multifamily properties.

Earlier in his career Abrams was an Associate in Credit Suisse's Real Estate Private Fund Group, Credit Suisse's third-party real estate fund raising business. In this role, he focused on evaluating real estate private fund opportunities and was actively involved in the process of origination, due diligence, structuring, and closing real estate private fund limited partnership interests.  Before joining Credit Suisse, he was with SunTrust Bank's Real Estate Capital Markets group, focusing on credit underwriting and due diligence for REIT and National Home Builder syndicated loan products.
