Cheshill on Mission Apartment Community to Offer Luxury Living in Mission Terrace Neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - A new 61-unit condominium apartment community will soon open in the Mission Terrace neighborhood, located at the border of the Excelsior District and Outer Mission District, which will not only offer high-end amenities but also support the area by attracting a diverse mix of new residents and serve as an example to others looking to invest in the neighborhood.

“Cheshill on Mission does away with the cookie-cutter design often seen in apartment communities by offering larger units and more then 20 floor plans for residents to choose from,” owner/developer Thomas Cheung said.

Cheshill on Mission is ideally located near Balboa Park and John McLaren Park and features easy access to the region’s major employers, as well as popular commuting routes and public transportation--a BART station is just a few blocks away. The community offers a wide variety of unit floor plans available in one-, two- and three-bedroom suites with one- and two-story designs. Many of the floor plans offer a sizable den in addition to the bedroom, providing occupants with even more living space.  Many units also have balconies and/or patios and city views.

Units average 800 square feet, making them larger than those found in comparable communities and feature high-end finishes. These units were originally designed as condominiums and built to condominium standards with a higher level of fixtures and finishes and design, including large walk-in closets in many of the units, which is not often seen in apartment designs.

Amenities include a rooftop terrace with views of San Francisco’s hills, second-floor patio with play areas for children and dogs and an onsite fitness center. The community also is a gated property, enhancing residents’ sense of comfort.

Cheshill on Mission is one of the first multifamily properties developed by Cheung, who is building the Cheshill name into a family-owned, boutique brand focused on high-end multifamily properties that deliver superior service to residents. The Cheshill name comes from combining the names of Cheung’s two daughters, Chesnie and Hillary. Cheung wants the Cheshill brand to represent the personal touch that comes from an owner and his family who care about the properties they operate, the residents they cater to and the neighborhoods their properties share with others.

“Residents of the Cheshill on Mission will have the benefit of an owner who truly cares about and is vested in their experience at the Cheshill on Mission,” Cheung said. “The property carries the names of my daughters, and our family operates it as a family business. We also hope to build on the success of this first property and expand the Cheshill brand by developing and managing properties across the nation.”
