FORT WORTH, TX - KWA Construction, a leading general contractor specializing in multifamily developments in Texas, has completed construction on Villas at Boston Heights, the first-and-only affordable housing project designed to LEED Gold standards in the Fort Worth suburb of Benbrook, Texas. KWA partnered with Dallas-based developer OM Housing, LLC and BGO Architects to build the 144-unit, 165,000-square foot garden-style complex that brings cost-effective, convenient and eco-friendly living to the community.
Villas at Boston Heights incorporates several green-based features designed to reduce the impact on the environment, including low-emitting VOC building materials, enhanced insulation and energy-efficient windows. The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are furnished with ENERGY STAR® appliances, high-efficiency lighting and water-saving fixtures that can lower utility bills by approximately $40 per month.

The mixed-rate community includes eight two- and three-story residential buildings with 130 units at 30 percent, 50 percent and 60 percent area median income (AMI) rents and 14 market rate units. Tenants have access to a spacious community center, swimming pool with a splash pad, barbeque grills and a picnic area. Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, controlled access gates and an onsite laundry facility.
Villas at Boston Heights is located at 3510 Boston Avenue, which is less than five miles from Benbrook Lake and only eight miles from downtown Fort Worth. It sits in desirable proximity to dining and shopping venues, as well as cultural and sporting facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
