ATLANTA, GA - Audubon Communities, an Atlanta-based company specializing in the acquisition, repositioning and management of multifamily properties across the Southeast, has completed a $400,000 renovation to the leasing office and amenity package at Sundance Creek townhome community in McDonough, Georgia.
Built in 2004, Sundance Creek features 232 for-rent townhomes. After acquiring the property in 2016, Audubon implemented its signature value-add approach and crafted a plan to renovate and upgrade the community clubhouse, leasing center and amenities. With these improvements, Audubon aimed to elevate the community’s offerings and better compete with existing multifamily assets in the area.
“When we acquired Sundance Creek, we knew we wanted to invest significant funds to refresh and modernize the leasing office and amenity package,” said Christopher Edwards, managing director of Audubon Communities. “The capital investment program we implemented at Sundance Creek provides residents with an upscale, contemporary community space with improved functionality.”
Improvements to the leasing office include a complete reconfiguration of the existing space, creating an open floor plan with a refreshed interior design and upgraded furniture, fixtures and equipment. Additionally, outdated and under-utilized amenities, such as the laundry room and various storage closets, were reconfigured to expand the resident lounge area and fitness center. Exterior amenities also received significant upgrades, including a new and expanded outdoor grilling area with an outdoor fireplace, arbor and new pool furniture, as well as new landscaping around the outdoor amenities and clubhouse.
