MARLTON, NJ - Michaels Management Services has been named the Accredited Management Firm (AMO) of the Year by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). This national award recognizes outstanding performance by a property management company that has earned the prestigious AMO designation. The award was presented October 21, at a gala ceremony during IREM’s Fall Conference in San Diego.
Michaels Management Services, an independent operating company of The Michaels Organization, provides best-in-class property management services to nine Army bases and two Air Force bases, where they manage more than 16,000 on-post homes and serve more than 45,000 residents. MMS is known for its high occupancy rates and excellent resident satisfaction results, as well as its “Community Connections program,” which is specifically designed to meet the unique living situations of military families.

Each year, IREM honors real estate management companies from across the globe for their innovative business practices and initiatives through its REME Awards program. Eligible nominees must have already completed the rigorous requirements to earn the AMO accreditation, which is currently held by an elite group of only 550 firms.
AMO Firm of the Year award winners must provide superior service to both owners and residents; align their business practices with IREM’s best practices; demonstrate a commitment to ethical business practices, and support ongoing training and education for its staff and executive leadership.
“This award was earned by the hard work of all MMS employees who do a great job everyday, but it’s also a testament to the efforts of our Senior Vice President Heather Plummer, who holds the Executive Certified Management Designation and who spearheaded the efforts to earn MMS the AMO credential,” said Hansen. “As the Executive CPM, Heather has been instrumental in making training and performance happen.”
