Since joining the organization in 2012, Mr. Heaton has served in an executive capacity as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Elevation Financial Group. He has been instrumental in the success and growth of the company in multiple areas and has directed numerous corporate real estate and lending transactions, including the recent disposition of Serenity Apartments® at Greenville which represented the company’s most successful sale to date.

Mr. Heaton brings a deep and diverse background and extensive skill set to Elevation. He has served as an executive in multiple publicly-traded companies, including serving as the General Counsel of a Fortune 500 corporation. In addition, he has successfully conducted numerous M&A transactions, joint ventures, public and private debt and equity financings, and international business arrangements. Mr. Heaton received an undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton, a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California Los Angeles, and an MBA degree from Vanderbilt University.
