NORTHBROOK, IL - Jeffrey A. Raday, P.E., President of McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the firm has completed the third phase of construction at The Lodge of Northbrook, a development of Essex Communities. Following the successful completion of the original 58-unit Phase I and the 20-unit Phase II, McShane Construction was selected for the additional construction of the 44,764 square foot Phase III expansion at this this luxury active senior living community.
Located on a six-acre site at 2220 Founders Drive in Northbrook, Illinois, a north suburban community near Chicago, The Lodge of Northbrook now offers 18 additional fully-featured one- and two-bedroom units as well as two-bedroom floorplans with dens. Each private residence features spacious kitchens, a private patio terrace, large closets, and in-unit washers and dryers together with high-end finishes such as granite countertops, hardwood flooring in the kitchen and foyer and stainless steel appliances.
The expanded portion of the complex provides direct access to a wide variety of amenities that The Lodge offers and to the development’s underground parking garage that was constructed by McShane in the first phase of development. The Phase III component includes an additional elevator, a new bistro café with commercial kitchen, and an underground parking expansion. Exterior finishes of Phase III seamlessly integrate with the existing residential structure utilizing the same masonry and shake-style siding façade, window systems and color scheme.
