BOSTON, MA - The Kensington, a 27-story, 381-unit apartment tower located in Boston, MA, announced today that its on-site Jaho Coffee Roasters & Wine Bar is officially open for business, providing residents of the luxurious community and passing pedestrians with a convenient upscale café and retail destination. Totaling 2,400 square-feet, the shop will serve premium coffee, tea, and sandwiches by day, and an assortment of spirits, craft beers, over 200 fine wines, and artisanal small bites and dessert by night.
Featuring a unique interior designed by Stephen Sousa, Principal and Founder of Sousa Design Architects, The Kensington’s Jaho Coffee Roasters & Wine Bar fuses minimalist Japanese and Scandinavian elements through the abundant use of wood, bamboo tables, Caesarstone countertops, light colors, and clean, distinguished finishes. Additionally, the innovative café boasts a “coffee laboratory look”, which is highlighted through the stainless steel “Slow Bar” coffee and roasting station, industrial-style lights, and hand-blown glass lanterns hung throughout the space.

In addition to its unique design and atmosphere, Jaho Coffee Roasters & Wine Bar will implement innovative brewing techniques including Japanese Siphon, Seraphim Single Brewing, Kyoto Iced Coffee, Pour-Overs, Chemex, French Press, Espresso, and Nitro Iced Coffee. Notably, Jaho is the only café in Boston that roasts its coffee on-site and plans to host coffee education classes and tasting events in the near future. The new Kensington location is open from 6:00am – 11:00pm every day, and expands Jaho’s Massachusetts presence, already having shops in Salem and Boston’s South End.
