Ron Zeff of Carmel Partners Receives Top Spirit of Life Award for Philanthropic Efforts From City of Hope

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - City of Hope’s Northern California Real Estate & Construction Council will honor Ron Zeff of Carmel Partners with its 2015 Spirit of Life® Award.  The Spirit of Life Award is City of Hope’s most prestigious philanthropic honor, presented annually to an industry leader who has demonstrated outstanding business and altruistic achievement. City of Hope is a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.

Zeff will receive The Spirit of Life® Award on Thursday, May 7th at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco.  Over 800 real estate & construction professionals are expected to attend and help raise $1Million. Zeff serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Carmel Partners, a real estate investment management firm based in San Francisco focused exclusively on US multifamily investment strategies including development, renovations and debt. Mr. Zeff founded Carmel Partners in 1996 and is Chairman of the Carmel Partners’ Investment Committee.  Operating throughout the United States, Carmel Partners has bought and renovated 20,979 apartment units with a total market value of $4.7 billion and has developed, or is in the process of developing, 12,343 apartment units with a total market value of $5.1 billion.  Prior to forming Carmel Partners, Mr. Zeff was a partner at Trammell Crow Residential.  He holds an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Zeff is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Multi Housing Council and a member of the Board of Trustees of the California Academy of Sciences.
