Atmark Apartments Celebrates Local Artists with Gallery Opening in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, MA - O’Connor Capital Partners, a privately-owned, independent, real estate investment, development, and management firm, celebrated the installation of an art gallery at Atmark Apartments (Atmark), their 428-unit luxury apartment community located in Cambridge, MA, on November 6th.

In partnership with the Cambridge Arts Council, the official arts agency for the City of Cambridge which funds, promotes, and presents high-quality, community-based arts programming for the benefit of artists, residents and visitors to Cambridge, Atmark programmed a custom Art Gallery to connect Atmark’s residents with local Cambridge artists. Motivated by the style and success of Building #1 and Building #2, Atmark continues to attract renters with its unique and creative amenities not found anywhere else.

“Atmark boasts tremendous amenities and housing accommodations for residents to live, work, and play,” said Brian Fallon, Partner at O’Connor Capital Partners. “The addition of an art gallery adds a cultural element that gives the community a connection to the work of talented local artists.”

The Atmark Art Gallery Exhibition featured the unveiling of works by local artists Ashley Almeida-Souza, Rachel D’Erminio, and Peter DeCamp Haines.  With pieces including digital prints, acrylic paintings and abstract sculptures, their work was selected to enrich the lobby area of Building #2 of the Atmark community.

“I want to thank Atmark Apartments for giving me the opportunity to show my sculpture,” commented Peter DeCamp Haines. “I hope that the featured art will give Atmark’s residents another reason to enjoy their beautiful, new building and all that the community offers.”

These artists’ works will be on display for the next six months before new work will be rotated in to feature additional local talent.  Atmark plans to make these gallery events, open to residents and the public, a regular occurrence so that all are able to enjoy the works of talented local artists. Members of the public interested in exploring Atmark’s art gallery are invited to schedule a time to view the newly installed exhibit and tour the rest of the community.

Organized and executed by Nickerson, the event was well attended and provided an opportunity for guests to view the artwork, converse with local artists, and tour the beautiful Atmark community.

With Atmark at nearly 60% occupancy, renters who are ready for an upgrade have little time to waste if they want to enjoy Atmark’s luxury apartments and unique amenities.

Conveniently located close to public transportation via the MBTA Red Line and bus service to Concord Avenue as well as Route 2, Atmark is an ideal location for those commuting into Cambridge/Boston via public transportation or out to the suburbs via their vehicles.  Just a short walk to the beautiful Fresh Pond Reservation, Atmark is also a great choice for pet owners.  As the most pet-friendly rental community in the Boston region, Atmark charges no pet rent for up to two pets (some breed restrictions may apply).

The community is leasing quickly, and those interested in seeing what Atmark has to offer should visit www.AtmarkApts.com to learn more or stop by 80 Fawcett Street in Cambridge for a tour today!
