Lancaster Urban Village Awarded NAHB Pillars of the Industry Award

ADDISON, TX - Lancaster Urban Village was recently awarded the National Association of Home Builders Pillars of the Industry Award for Best Affordable Apartment Community.  Designed by BGO Architects, it is a mixed-use, transit-oriented development.  The project was developed by City Wide Community Development Corporation with interior design by SJL Design Group and opened in June.

Located in Dallas, the complex is near the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, a DART rail station and is only 10 minutes from The University of North Texas at Dallas.  The development offers a pedestrian-friendly, safe and sustainable environment just steps away from a major employment center. Residents and retailers can live, work, shop, play and continue their education just minutes from their home or office.

Lancaster Urban Village, consisting of 193 apartments and 14,000 sq feet of commercial space, is designed around a resort-styled pool and landscaped courtyard.  Residents also enjoy a resident club with a community kitchen and entertainment programming, a business center, hot tub, picnic/grill area, fitness center and a central parking garage.

“We are proud to be recognized as a leader in multi-family design” stated Erik Earnshaw of BGO Architects. “This award recognizes our commitment to extraordinary quality in all of our projects.”

The NAHB's Pillars of the Industry Awards program identifies the best in multifamily design, from low-rise to mixed-use, in rentals and condos, in workforce housing and green building.  The organization also honors the industry's most creative and effective marketing campaigns, as well as its top developers and property managers.
