Gallery Bethesda’s Oktoberfest Event Showcases Exclusive Tours of Life on Top

BETHESDA, MD - On Saturday October 25, 2014 from 2:00pm-5:00pm Gallery Bethesda is turning their pedestrian plaza into an Oktoberfest Biergarten! This free event will show visitors what life at the top is all about with exclusive tours and waived application fees. The event will feature music, food, beer, prizes and outdoor games like cornhole! This is a 21+ event.

For the past year, it has been an initiative of the Montgomery County Planning Department’s Bethesda Downtown Sector Plan to create and improve public spaces to serve the downtown Bethesda population. Gallery’s pedestrian plaza does just that by providing the community with usable public space for events like the Oktoberfest.

On June 5, 2014 the plaza was officially welcomed into the community during Gallery’s grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Greater Bethesda Chevy-Chase Chamber of Commerce. Featuring beautiful lighting, sculpture, water elements, outdoor seating and a brand new mural, the plaza not only helps to meet the need for public space but enhances the overall aesthetic of the surrounding community.

Property Manager Manuel Majano Said, “The Oktoberfest will be an opportunity to not only share our pedestrian plaza with the Bethesda community but to showcase everything Gallery offers while we still have the beautiful fall weather to enjoy it.”

During the event German cuisine will be provided by local Bethesda restaurant The Loft at 4935. The spread will feature bratwurst, potato latkes, pretzels and more. And what Oktoberfest would be complete without beer?  Seasonal beers and cider will be provided by The Aria. Open in July in Gallery’s first floor retail space, The Aria has been the one stop shop not just for residents but the entire Woodmont Triangle area. The convenience store offers beer/wine, coffee, a deli and even dry cleaning.

Owner Eugene Byun says, “We are excited to be a part of this great event for Gallery and the Bethesda community.”

As the tallest residential building in Bethesda, Gallery Bethesda opened its doors in winter 2014 as the new height in luxury. The 17-story building boasts many top flight amenities, including:  concierge service, fireside WiFi-lounge, free coffee bar, sport club style fitness center, pet spa and designated parking/charging for hybrid and electric vehicles. As Bethesda’s first 100% smoke free apartment residence, residents don’t just breathe easier, they save energy easier too!  Many of the amenities are eco-friendly, including a LEED Gold Certification for the building.
