HandyTrac Surpasses 3 Million Doors Protected With Its Computerized Key Control System

ATLANTA, GA - Back in 1995, John Lie-Nielsen secured the first key control contract with Alexander Properties in Atlanta for his start-up business, HandyTrac Systems. Today, with its recent contract with Sares-Regis in California, the company has grown into the largest key control company in the U.S. with more than 8,000 properties and 3 million doors protected.

"Our success has been built upon our company mission: to create high quality products that combine the best security, is easiest to use and lowest cost," says Lie-Nielsen. “Over the years, through the new technologies we implement and the customer service we provide, we’ve built a name that people know and trust.”

Founded by apartment industry veterans, HandyTrac has utilized its industry experience and insight to build a loyal base of customers who demand a high tech, yet affordable, method of managing and safe-guarding their keys.

HandyTrac recently introduced its Generation 10 key management system featuring:

Biometric Identity Verification
With one touch, the integrated biometric reader scans the fingerprint to identify the user for authorized entry to the key cabinet. This enhances audit trail credibility and security while eliminating the frustration of lost or damaged employee badges. The reader is incorporated directly into the system’s Ethernet Datalog.

Daily Keys Out E-Report
This feature allows management to have keys out report automatically emailed to them at the same time everyday.

Building Pull
This feature enables staff to request key tags for an entire building in one easy step to save time when pulling keys for pest control, inspections, etc.

Key Bit Mapping
Maintains key cut codes in a secure location to save time and money rekeying locks.
