SOUTH BEND, IN - Centennial Mortgage, Inc. (CMI), one of the nation’s leading mortgage banks providing capital through U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) insured loan programs, continues to build upon its long track record of success by announcing today the appointment of HUD veteran Reneé Greenman as Managing Director of the South Bend, IN-based company.

In her new position at CMI, Ms. Greenman will manage the underwriting and processing of loans for multifamily and senior housing and healthcare facilities under various programs insured by HUD and the USDA. As part of her responsibilities, she will focus on developing and implementing new policies, procedures and programs at CMI, as well as streamlining existing ones. “Ms. Greenman possesses exceptional talent and proven expertise,” said Matthew Kane, President of CMI. “Having known her for many years and witnessed her tremendous work in the industry first-hand, I have immense respect for her leadership and achievements at HUD. Her Lean Initiative Redesign of HUD's Section 232 program was an outstanding success, increasing loan production by 300%.”

In addition to her contributions to HUD's Section 232 program, Ms. Greenman also served on the FHA Commissioner’s National Process Improvement Task Force. In this capacity, she focused on strategies to continuously improve HUD's Multifamily Housing programs, which are currently being implemented nationwide under the FHA Multifamily Breaking Ground Development Initiative and the Sustaining Our Investments Asset Management Initiative.

“Given her professional background, Ms. Greenman will be a tremendous asset to our leadership team at Centennial Mortgage, Inc.,” Mr. Kane said. “Having overseen the same business line that we produce from the other side, she has a well-honed sense of what makes for a solid, risk-mitigated deal.”

A longtime employee of HUD, Ms. Greenman first joined the government organization in 1987 after several years working in the private real estate sector. During her tenure at HUD, she received post-graduate training from the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, the Center for Creative Leadership, the University Of Maryland School Of Public Affairs and Portland State University’s Department of Community Planning and Development.

Ms. Greenman looks forward to using her expertise to help CMI improve even further upon its impressive track record.

“The Centennial team really understands the value of implementing the Lean concept all the way through the company, and utilizing that to improve product line and really delight our customers,” Ms. Greenman said. “Centennial already has a stellar reputation and I'm eager to find ways to move the company even further up the productivity ladder.”
