TCR Named Multifamily Developer Of The Year

New Story
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Trammell Crow Residential (TCR), an Atlanta-based apartment and condo development firm has been named the Multifamily Development Firm of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The award, sponsored by Time Warner Cable, is one of the top honors in NAHB's prestigious Pillars of the Industry Awards program, which annually recognizes excellence in multifamily housing development, design, marketing and management.

Scott McFadden, senior managing director of TCR's Denver office, accepted the award on behalf of the company's president and CEO, Ron Terwilliger in Colorado Springs, Colo., at a gala celebration hosted last week by NAHB in conjunction with its annual conference for apartment and condo developers.

"TCR is a deserving recipient of this award—they have been a leader in the multifamily industry for the past 30 years and continue to set the bar high with their impressive projects," said Steve Patterson, chairman of NAHB's Multifamily Leadership Board and CEO of ZOM USA. "Part of their success comes from the company's unique ability to recognize trends in the marketplace and translate that into apartments and condos that meet the needs of today's consumers."

TCR's multifamily communities, marketed under the brand name "Alexan," have become synonymous with unique, upscale apartment homes offered at competitive rents. The Pillars of the Industry judging panel cited the company's financial success as a major reason for its selection of TCR for the Pillars Awards' top honor, noting that over the past three years the company has accumulated multifamily assets valued at $8.5 billion.

TCR's portfolio includes a wide array of development types including transit-oriented, public-private partnerships, mixed-use, infill, redevelopment districts, and traditional suburban sites throughout the United States.
