LoopNet Releases Next Generation of LoopLink

New Story
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - LoopNet, which operates the largest online commercial real estate marketplace, today announced the launch of LoopLink 7.0, the leading technology for searching and displaying commercial property listings on the Internet. Over 1,000 real estate organizations and companies, including CB Richard Ellis, Grubb & Ellis, NAI Global, Colliers International, ONCOR International, Staubach Company, CCIM Institute and Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR) use LoopLink to power commercial property listings on their own websites and market available property for sale and lease on LoopNet.com.

LoopLink 7.0 features numerous enhancements, including cutting-edge mapping tools that show street, aerial and bird's-eye views of properties, and the ability to search sale and lease listings at the same time. In addition, LoopLink 7.0 offers the option for clients to distribute their commercial real estate listings to LoopNet's exclusive online newspaper network that includes The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Miami Herald and over 100 other local and regional newspaper websites.

"We are excited by the overwhelmingly positive response our clients are giving the new LoopLink release. The LoopLink 7.0 platform allows real estate firms to significantly enhance their online marketing capabilities and therefore ultimately generate more business," said Mike Manning, LoopNet's Vice President of Marketing. "The new mapping tools allow prospective buyers and tenants shopping for property on LoopLink-powered client websites to more quickly and easily understand a property's location and surroundings. The additional option to integrate with LoopNet's exclusive online newspaper network delivers a unique and unparalleled way to extend listing exposure to millions of potential customers and prospects."

"The upgraded LoopLink 7.0 technology offers dramatic visual and map-centric enhancements to the LoopNet commercial real estate property exchange," said Tim Hatlestad, CCIM, 2008 president of CCIM Institute. "It's 'location, location, location,' right? Well LoopNet answered the call with property searches that now include map-centric tools to hone in on location. The map features are intuitive and easy to use. We are excited and confident CCIM members will benefit from this upgraded technology."

"NAI Global is extremely impressed and excited about the new functionality included in LoopNet's LoopLink 7.0 release. Displaying property search results on an interactive map adds just the right Web 2.0 touch to our property search engine. The new LoopLink 7.0 interface provides instant visualization of property locations for all visitors to our website," said Shawn Stumbaugh, Senior Vice President, Information Services, NAI Global.

"By using LoopNet's LoopLink 7.0 technology on our website, we have been able to significantly streamline our property marketing, facilitating our ability to effectively market listings and best serve our clients," said Neil Wachsberger, president of RBI Retail Brokers. "We have recently revamped our website to include LoopNet's map-based search capability, which has vastly enhanced the property search function to be more professional, sleek and easy to use. The LoopLink service is the clear market leader."
