The Beach Company Begins Construction on 360-Unit Multifamily Development in South Carolina

GREENVILLE, SC - South Ridge Investment, LLC, an affiliate of The Beach Company, announces that construction has started on South Ridge, a 360-unit mixed-use multi-family property at South Church Street and University Ridge, situated between the highly desirable Augusta Road neighborhood and the unique urban parks of downtown Greenville, SC.

Mayor Knox White, Lillian Brock Flemming, Vice Mayor Pro Tem, Greenville District 2 Representative and Jil Littlejohn, Greenville District 3 Representative joined the The Beach Company for the occasion, along with representatives from First Tennessee Bank and Creative Builders, Inc.

The property will include buildings from 3-5 stories with 10,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. A 400-space parking garage will be discreetly located at the center of the property, tucked behind apartments and hidden from view.

The general contractor for South Ridge is Creative Builders, Inc., of Greenville, SC., with construction financing provided by First Tennessee Bank. Construction is estimated to take two years to complete, with the first phase of apartments expected to be available for occupancy in early 2015.

Designed by JHP Architecture and Urban Design of Dallas, Texas, the upscale, contemporary apartments with Greenville skyline views will offer residents the opportunity to choose a floor plan that meets their needs, from studio “soft-lofts” to three bedroom flats. Amenities include gourmet kitchens, 9’-12’ ceilings, a commercial-quality fitness center, a Club Room for residents’ enjoyment, an outdoor balcony gathering spot for residents overlooking the Greenville skyline, a courtyard saltwater pool, and a parking garage.
