AIMCO Employees Join Forces to Volunteer
DENVER, CO - Hundreds of Apartment Investment and Management Company (Aimco) employees are volunteering time to address critical needs in their communities as part of the national Aimco Cares Community Service Day on Wednesday, November 10. Aimco's more than 65 Service Day projects include making crafts with patients at the Childrens' Medical Center in Dallas; sorting and packing supplies at food banks in Baltimore, Los Angeles, Richmond, San Antonio, San Diego, and West Texas; serving meals at the rescue missions in Denver and Miami; cleaning a vacant City lot in Philadelphia; volunteering at animal shelters in Williamsburg and Denver; and conducting food and clothing donation drives in cities across the country.

Started in 2009, the national community service days are hallmark events of the company's philanthropic program, Aimco Cares. Through Aimco Cares, each employee is given 10 paid hours annually to apply toward a volunteer activity.

"Being a good citizen is an Aimco corporate value and tradition. Service to our greater community is a priority for our company, both as individuals and through our Aimco Cares program," said Terry Considine, Chairman and CEO of Aimco. "I applaud our team members who are taking part in activities that have a positive impact and give back to the communities where we live and work."
