Colliers Rankings Rise to The Top
SEATTLE, WA - The results are in and Colliers International has climbed to the #2 spot in the National Real Estate Investor magazine annual ranking of the top 25 brokerages in the real estate industry. The ranking is based on the combined dollar value of leasing transactions and investment sales globally in 2009, which totaled $53.8 billion for Colliers International.

Colliers International posted an increase of more than 28 percent over last year's ranking when it conducted leasing transactions and investment sales volume totaling $42 billion and ranked fifth.

"It is no surprise to us we've achieved such a strong showing in the standings this year," said Douglas P. Frye, Global President and CEO of Colliers International. "We have risen in the rankings largely due to our best-in-class service and client-centric philosophy. In addition, our expansion plans will continue around the globe. As we open even more new offices, launch additional service lines and hire key executives, we fully expect to see Colliers International gain significant ground on the number one spot."

Colliers International recently combined its operations and global real estate services platforms with FirstService Real Estate Advisors (REA). The combined entity has more than 480 offices and 15,000 employees in 61 countries worldwide. Colliers International has integrated service lines including global corporate solutions and property and asset management services into its platform. The organization also has recently added offices in, Nashville, Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio, and Grand Rapids, Michigan, with plans to expand further both in the U.S. and overseas.
